Finally you can play as a character from Gratitude: A Horror Game inside a game of Slayers! This character ports over the Fear Die from Gratitude, as well as several fan-favorite powers.

The Grateful takes damage on failure, and most of the damage they take will be self-inflicted. But they also have means of absorbing damage, tanking, and dealing damage back out. This deviates a little bit from the standard Slayers resolution mechanics.

Rather than rolling a 4+, the Grateful rolls against Fear, a number that increases whenever they succeed. On a failure, they take damage equal to Fear. But don't worry—The Grateful can always take damage equal to Fear to lower it back down to 1.

The advances make the Grateful more durable, while also allowing more power: while the Grateful starts with 2 more Basic Advances than normal, they have the ability to trade Advances for Powers, unique abilities that offer more flexibility and approaches to combat.
